Hurricanes and Halloween

Debbie and I are finally going to get some time together.  We  are spending two weeks sailing the Southern Caribbean on two different ships.  Our itinerary takes us as far south as Barbados but also to Martinique which is a new port for me and St. Croix which will be new to Debbie.  I have been to St. Croix with my children years ago and we had such fun I have always wanted to return...now I will!

We will fly to San Juan separately and meet at the airport.  Our first seven days are on the Celebrity Summit and we will go directly to the ship after meeting in San Juan airport.  We have just finished our online check in and we found an amusing fact about this ship.  We have the first female American to captain a cruise ship.  Debbie and I had a female captain on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas on our Transatlantic cruise in 2008.  She however, was not American.  This lady's name is Kate McCue and has personality to go with her brains and good looks we derived from watching her videos on Celebrity's website.  I am anxious to meet her!

After we get off the Summit we will stay a night in a hotel and try to get our laundry done and repack to board the Carnival Fascination the next day for another 7 days in the southern Caribbean. Stay tuned for our adventures since you know there will be some!
