St. Kitts and Nevis 10-27-16

There are a combination of clouds and sun this morning as we approach the port city of Basstiere.  There is a NCL ship already here and another one of their larger ships following us in.  I have not been here with more than two ships in port.  We have a tour today which is a catamaran sail to Nevis.  We had room service then start gathering our things and get off to meet our tour at the end of the pier.

It was a nice sail to Nevis  even though it threatened rain on the way over.  It was Africa hot there and the humidity was awful.  There were no chairs on the beach but picnic tables  a little way back where we had lunch.  Debbie and I walked the beach and found lots of cool shells but they all had the animals still in them!  People found conch shells and big sand dollars as well.  We were the first ones back on the boat and got a cold drink…Ting.  It is a lemon lime drink we had in St. Lucia years ago that we really liked.  It is hard to find here now so we were excited to have it yesterday on the sail.  There was the usual dancing on the sail back but it was so hot it was hard to enjoy it.  We were glad to get back and get showered.

We had dinner in the dining room and the waiters were happy to see us.  We were so tired from being in the sun all day and walking a long way to get to the catamaran so we were in bed by 9!  I guess we are just getting old!
